Math and Language Arts:

Second Through Eight Grade

I also help older students stay on track in math and language arts. Some students need just a little intervention to fill in missing gaps while others need support over a longer period in order to complete school assignments.


To make optimal use of our time, I start by assessing my students’ knowledge. Then, I teach the underlying concepts of the skills they have not yet mastered and move them forward gradually with more difficult and complex exercises.


For students with individual education plans, I review school reports and the results of available tests. I use strategies that are best suited to their learning styles.
